PYLON

PYLON is a small network of new media installation artists who have come together strategically to share resources and find new ways of developing and disseminating their work. As a new model for supporting this area of practice, PYLON combines critical engagement and professional development in order to raise the profile of its member artists Andy Gracie (Hostprods), Jen Southern (Hamilton & Southern) and Steve Symons.

Working with Project Development Manager Michelle Hirschhorn (from Sep 2003 to Jan 2007), the group brings together a broad base of expertise and resources to promote their work to a wider audience and facilitate new opportunities for exhibition and critical dialogue. By operating as an affiliation of individual artists, PYLON enables a collective approach to marketing, research and networking without compromising the identity or integrity of each solo practice.
